A key offering is based on our Eco Intelligence® Initiatives, environmentally sustainable fabrics developed in partnership with environmental consultancy McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry.
Victor operates state-of-the art mills in several Canadian locations, a service-and-warehouse facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a design studio in New York. Founded in 1947, family-owned Victor has been serving the North American contract furniture industry since 1980.
Victor Origins and Values
Family-owned Victor Woolens opened its doors as a wool mill in 1947. Since then, Victor Group created Victor Innovatex Inc. in 1994. We have evolved into a pioneering fabric designer and manufacturer focused on commercial textiles for seating and panel applications.
While the company’s size may have changed, our underlying values have remained steadfast.
Current president Alain Duval recalls his grandfather recycling wool scraps: “It was more than smart business. It was efficient use of resources.”
Today, Alain Duval places innovation and sustainability at the heart of the company’s corporate strategy. With the right designs and processes, “what’s good for the environment can also be good for business.”
Improved product quality, decreased energy costs, and decreased raw material use are just a few of the bottom-line benefits stemming from Victor’s long-standing commitment to sustainability, recycling, and recyclable fabric.
